The Cove was built in 1963 as a luxury apartment complex called the Commodore. It was later bought by Mount Carmel Nursing Home and used as a care facility until 1979 when the building was converted into condominiums.
The Cove is comprised of 48 units, all with direct water views and lake access. The Cove faces Lake Mendota and is surrounded by woods and nature trails. Residents enjoy the quiet natural environment with direct access to the lake for sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and cross-country skiing.
